Kiting at Beitostølen
Experience the latest nature-based activity at Beitostølen!
The courses are held at the top of the ski lift, Garli, Valdresflya, or Slettefjell, depending on the weather and wind conditions.
Two-day courses with a qualified instructor. The first day focuses on safety and how to control the kite. On the second day, you will try kiting yourself if the conditions are suitable and you have made enough progress.
Ski School - Group lessons & private lessons
During the holidays we offer group lessons during high seaon. Beito Aktiv's Children's Ski School is suitable for all children of all ages and skill levels. Our experienced instructors provide lessons that are fun and educational, focusing on the development of the child's skiing skills through targeted tasks. Safety is naturally a priority for us, and we take all measures to ensure a safe learning environment for children.

Snowrafting with Beitostølen Aktiv & Skiskole
Every Wednesday in winter season
Rafting is a popular summer activity, and now you can raft in winter also! This however, is rafting with a twist. Substituting a river for a banked snow channel, this is the perfect activity for all you adrenaline sport enthusiasts. During the season we run Snowrafting on selected days. Or you may book this activity as a private event for you and your family.
Suitable for most people aged 7 and up. We do not recommend this activity for those with knee/back problems.
Horseback Riding Winter/Spring - Myhre Gård
Horseback riding tours for beginners, intermediate, and experienced riders.
Myhre Gård arranges tours daily upon request, ranging from short trips to several-hour excursions through the magical winter landscape.
Tours are tailored for young children as young as 2 years old.
Riding Lessons, Myhre Gård
Myhre Gård offers riding lessons for all levels, year-round. Safe horses and experienced instructors ensure good progress and a sense of accomplishment, regardless of skill level.
Myhre Gård has an outdoor arena and an indoor riding hall, allowing instruction to be conducted regardless of the season or weather conditions.
In addition to individual lessons, they offer Riding School (year-round or half-year courses), weekend courses, and riding camps during all holidays!
Dog sledding day trips
Drive your own dog team and experience the fantastic winter landscape in Beito in a new way. A unique and educational experience with knowledgeable guides and eager dogs.
Half-day, full-day, and evening tours are arranged daily upon request (limited capacity). Tours must be booked in advance.
The tours are tailored to your needs. Option to sit in the sled as a passenger instead of driving (requires good balance and physical fitness).
Accommodations for children and families. Contact the company in advance if there are children under 5.
Good parking facilities in the area. No accessible restroom.
Warm clothing and winter boots are available for loan to anyone who needs them.
Allergy-friendly and vegan options are available on tours that include food.
Dog Sledding Expeditions
Experience one of Norway's best areas for dog sledding. The privileged location between Langsua and Jotunheimen National Parks makes Beitostølen the perfect base for some of the country's most thrilling long-distance trips and nature experiences.
Beito Husky Tours organizes exclusive 2-5 day trips with limited spots. It is recommended to book well in advance.
Ice fishing with a guide
Our knowledgeable fishing guides are here to give you a great introduction to Ice Fishing. They will teach you the skills you need to catch a fish in one of Beitostølen's frozen lakes. If you are lucky you will catch your own trout and be able to take it home to make a yummy dinner! Ice fishing takes place at the Beitostølen camp on the frozen water at Øyangen, and other frozen lakes near Beitostølen.
Snowshoeing
A guided Snowshoe Tour is a great way to explore the beautiful untouched winter landscape around Beitostølen. This trip is great for individuals and families who enjoy exploring nature in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The trail goes through both open areas and woodland, and up and down some moderate hills, so expect to get a little out of breath! The tours vary according to weather conditions.
